Friction pendulum bearing with restraint arrangements for bridge safety.

The XFQZ series combines curved sliding isolation with fixed, guided or multidirectional arrangements. Its restraint components determine the transition from normal service behavior to seismic movement.

Technical specifications

GD is fixed under normal service; DX permits movement in the unrestrained direction; SX permits movement in both directions. Their seismic behavior and restraint details must be coordinated with the whole bridge and the available movement clearance.

XFQZ unseating-resistant friction pendulum bearing

The XFQZ series has GD fixed, DX guided and SX multidirectional configurations. Principal components are the upper slope-adjustment plate, anchor bolts, sleeves, anchor rods, upper/lower bearing plates, spherical stainless-steel surfaces, sliding plates, spherical liner and restraint assemblies.
